Throughout my 20+ years in marketing and communications, there has been one constant. That constant has been an innate ability to quickly size up any project and map out a logical execution plan. In each of my past positions, I quickly gained the respect of my peers for keeping cool under pressure and creating a smooth workflow and atmosphere of collaboration. By roping in and consulting with vendors early and checking in often, I make sure projects deliver within their budget and schedule. In addition to years of hands-on experience, I am also pursuing my Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification. PROJECT EXAMPLES
Provided asset management, copy editing, vendor management, and overall project management for performing arts center direct mail piece mailing to 100K households. Stakeholders requested very visual, logical layout. Timeline was tight due to university holidays and hard deadline of preview party with donors. All parties were very pleased with the result.
Stakeholders requested a small pocket size brochure that would contain the event agenda, session descriptions, expo exhibitor information and advertisements. Project went through many rounds of proofs due to information and speaker changes, but project delivered on time and below budget.
Provided research, copy writing, and design for foodservice distribution trade association annual report. Managed project from discovery, to outline, through design, print, and delivery. Project goals were to highlight the association's accomplishments over the previous 12 months. Stakeholders asked for a image intensive look and language that broke down complex topics into easy-to-digest overviews.
Provided content gathering, design, and launch of a video covering the history of foodservice distribution in the United States. When I came on to the project another vendor had provided a spreadsheet of events. I took that information, added to the list, and paired an image with every event. I then created an animated PowerPoint with music that I turned into a video. This video was wildly popular in this niche and was used on numerous websites and trade shows.
Managed the design, print, and installation of large format, back-lit posters for several seasons at Hylton Performing Arts Center.
Stakeholders wanted a video to use on social media to promote their annual event, Distribution Solutions Conference. I created an animated PowerPoint video that was used on social media and then modified it to display on a 55 ft. screen at the event with a daily event overview.
Oversaw the direct mail campaigns to start up and gain subscribers to an olive oil club. Managed the logistics of importing custom blended olive oil to the US for distribution to club members with literature on how to have tastings and enjoy it.
Managed the copywriting, translation, design and mailing for international direct mail campaigns that mailed over 1 million pieces per year in 5 languages.
